Dover Vanguard manufactures an extensive range of roller shutter products for industrial, commercial, residential and motor vehicle applications.

The roller shutter product lines are divided into two main categories based on Curtain or lath base material being:

"Steel Roller Shutters" and "Aluminium Roller Shutters".

The Curtain on a steel roller shutters is formed from joining roll formed laths.  Aluminium roller shutters use extruded aluminium laths and can be used in combination with polycarbonate laths for see through appearance. Aluminium laths can be provided in single skin or a double skin / box section profile for additional strength and durability.

Steel shutters are mainly used for perimeter access to buildings where superior strength and security is required.  Typical applications including warehouses, factories, loading docks, storage areas, shops with street frontages, garages, recreation buildings, stadiums, utility buildings, schools, garbage rooms and alike.

Fire resistant steel roller shutters can be provided for 2 and 4 hour ratings with a maximum size limit of 7.0 m wide x 7.0 m high.  Fire resistant steel roller shutters have uses in all building types that have openings in fire rated walls including but not limited to warehouses, factories, kitchens, hospitals, schools, car parks and alike.

Dover Vanguard also manufactures a stainless steel roller shutter for use in higher corrosive environments or where a specific aesthetic look is required.
Aluminium roller shutters are mainly used in situations requiring neat and attractive aesthetical appearance.  Building applications include retail outlets, shopping centres, supermarkets, shop fronts, canteens, reception counters, window shutters, garages and alike.  Box section laths are recommended for higher security situations.

Aluminium roller shutters are also used extensively in motor vehicle applications.  Both single skin and double skin / box section configurations can be provided.  The Dover “Nyloy 30” roller shutter has been used extensively around the world for fire engine and emergency vehicles.  Other applications in the motor vehicle industry include delivery vans, compartments doors, tool boxes, storage areas and alike.

Aluminium roller shutters have uses in other areas of industry including tool boxes, point of display security, display stands, kiosks, vendor stands, computer rooms, storage areas, equipment lockers and alike.

Generally roller shutter products can be provided in hand, chain or electrical operated versions.  There is a wide range of electrical control devices for motor driven shutters.
Dover Vanguard has an in house powder coats line.  Optional powder coating provides the opportunity to add colour to blend in with surrounding colour schemes or finishes.
